Great day of volunteering at Wells Knob, part of the MST. Temps dropped leading up to the AM work day... but we generated a lot of VOLUNTEER HEAT! Thank you! Six Trail Maintainers: we got A LOT DONE, see photos. Every 3rd Saturday of the month and first Thursday of the month.
Today, cleaning signs and bridges, moving a concrete culvert to the side of a stream (it was causing stream bank erosion, and clogging up the path of the creek), fixed the approach to the first bridge, along with some rock work. Cleaned out/fixed water diversions and drain lines, as well as, removed a few fallen trees further up Wells Knob. We will continue to work on the stream bank, and fix an erosion issue around the bridge... overall great maintenance day!
