Our SIXTH year of celebrating National Trails Day® and the fourth NC Trail Days work event by doing some trail work on the Elkin Valley Trail system. Part of Year of the Trail Celebrations!

**RSVP to get any last minute notices**

**LOCATION: FUTURE MST TRAIL , former Chatham Park and adjacent land (next to the Yadkin River)**

Roughing in a section – most likely will be using loppers and moving debris. Not too intense of work. They’ll be something for all ages.

*Possible additional tasks include trash removal, removing roots, working on tread/slope, water erosion control, limb/debris removal, and other tasks.*

****Hard Stop by 10:30 AM**, in order for those who want to attend a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for part of the newest MST trailhead/trail- Friendship Trailhead- at 11:30.

There will be something for all ages.

** 8AM CHECK-IN **

Last minute attendees are welcome to attend; however, please try to RSVP so we can coordinate efficiently. All last minute notices will be sent thru the meetup portal (more reason to RSVP attending).

Bring any tools you may have, extra trash bags, water, gloves, bug repellent, sunscreen….and so on.
(definitely hydrate/bring water- humidity may be a factor)
